Tendon Gliding Exercises


Straighten fingers












Straight fist




Full fist





Blocked extension of middle joint







Bend end joint by itself, whilst holding joint

below straight



Hold adjacent fingers straight and bend middle joint





Push finger into hook position with other hand




Place fingers into a fist and try to hold when you let go



Hypothenar Strengthening


Try to lift little finger up straight




Resist stretching little finger out to the side




Oppose thumb to little finger




Hold paper between fingers and attempt to pull apart



Thumb Exercises


Trace line on tennis ball with thumb





Touch thumb to index and then middle finger




Touch thumb to ring and then little finger




Slide thumb down little finger to touch the palm
